Indie, prog, math rock, rock, whatever-they-want-to-be band Minus the Bear are currently in the studio with Joe Chicarelli (My Morning Jacket, The White Stripes) working on their fourth LP, the follow-up to 2007's Planet of Ice. The band is self-financing the new album but plan on releasing it this fall on a yet to be announced label.
A few months back before heading overseas, the band recorded and released the below video. It was done no doubt just to tease as we see them jamming on some new material.

The band's most recent release is an exclusive seven-song EP entitled ACOUSTICS. It features newly recorded acoustic versions of select songs from the band's career and also includes the new track "Guns & Ammo." The EP was made available only through online retailers and at shows.

Soundgarden does carry the vinyl of ACOUSTICS so I believe it is released.
