Brooklyn rockers Right On Dynamite have gone from new era, New York garage rock to fuzzed out power trio on their new single. They sound like the best nostalgic trip and prove themselves to be quite a power trio. The band's 2008 self-titled EP was more Strokes in nature than it was headbanging sharp-but-raucous rock. "Alright" incorporates a mix of Dinosaur Jr., The Strokes, and Doughboys and sees the band maintaining the energy and sound of a great garage rock outfit. Here, Right On Dynamite sounds reminiscent of that wave of early-to-mid '90s rock and, if I didn't know any better, I'd say they were one of the many bands from that period that were unfortunately overlooked.
