LISTEN: The Hidden Revolution - "Failing"

The Hidden Revolution - "Failing"

With a sense of failure comes a sense of distance; everything that once seemed possible is now appearing to be rather impossible. The perceived sense of distance from what you want ties you down. "Failing" starts like a whisper in the dark, but it ends with a bang, right against your eardrums. It's a stern kick reminding you that nothing changes with complacency. It's a battle cry to stand up and move on. With hints of post-hardcore's frantic, intertwining percussion and guitars and the encouraging mood of anthemic rock 'n' roll, "Failing" never settles down and keeps the energy high throughout. Singer Chris Wise's Judah Nagler-meets-James Grundler soaring voice helps seal the deal, carrying this melodic rock music to a rather uplifting place.

I don't know where the band name came from, but I'd like to think it's a reference to the hidden revolution waiting to happen in your heart and mind.

"Failing" is from The Hidden Revolution's new EP, perfectly motionless, available now via iTunes and all other major digital retailers, as well as on limited run mini-vinyl CDs. Watch a teaser for the EP below.
