The Twilight Sad have shared a new song entitled "Kill It In the Morning" from their forthcoming album, No One Can Ever Know, scheduled for release in February 2012 on Fat Cat Records. The new album is the band's third studio full-length overall and follows 2009's excellent Forget the Night Ahead. Hear/download the track below.
The Twilight Sad have always been characterized by a rather moody sound, but "Kill It In the Morning" sounds particularly sinister. It begins with strokes of dissonant guitar and a gloomy bass riff, all combining to form a rather foreboding atmosphere. The thick lid of clouds cracks open just past the halfway mark, picking up the pace as a celestial, symphonic, '80s-style synth permeates the darkness like a guiding light, flickering in the distance.
Album track “Sick” will be the official first single from the new album and will be released digitally November 15th.
