Quinn's Top 5 Albums of 2010 (so far)

This week, we'll all be posting our "Top 5 Albums of 2010 (so far)," one writer each day.

In the past, I never could get myself to actually rank my top albums, just because I find it rather difficult. Plus, I feel as though it shouldn't really come down to a "who's better than who?" or anything. These lists are just a culmination of opinion, so let's not get all carried away.

Based on their content, I felt like I should arrange my choices in the following order.

WHAT'S YOUR MUSE? Daniel Balk of The Postelles

It's the first of the month, and that means it's time for another edition of "What's Your Muse?"

The concept is simple: We ask a band/artist to choose a song that means a lot/the most to them. Then, they record and send us a video of themselves describing why they chose the song. Think of it like a collaborative video mixtape project.

In this edition, we hear from Postelles frontman Daniel Balk.

The Postelles are an up-and-coming garage pop rock band from New York. They've been featured on the site a few times, so we're all pretty well acquainted with them now. Based on their '50s/'60s-leaning sound, Balk's choice isn't all that surprising. Balk and the band were making the long drive back after a long weekend at this year's Bonnaroo when he taped his submission. Being cooped up in a van for hours at a time, the road seems endless. From the middle of nowhere, Balk delivers his choice. View his submission after the jump.
