A song like "Honey Eye Bee Leave Ewe" gets by on an endearing, carefree spirit. An initial listen attracts you, but it's the third, fourth, and maybe even fifth, listens that bring you under its wing. It's got the ebullience of a bubblegum pop song that's begun to study up on the sounds of riot grrrl. Not only that, it sounds a bit like Blondie decided to be a garage rock band for a hot minute -- at least I hear that here and there.
