On Thursday, I continued with the SXSW theme. Again, all these bands are playing this year's South By Southwest. Do not forget, if you head to the SXSW website, you can pick up MP3s from many of the bands playing this year's festival/conference.
Lemon Sun- "Telephone" from the extended playing Tales of Uncertainty
To Live and Die In LA- "What We Have Is Now" from the album To Live and Die In LA
Monsters Are Waiting- "Last Goodbye" from the album Fascination
The Black- "Eshu Blues" from the extended playing Donna
Har Mar Superstar- "Cry 4 Help" from the album Har Mar Superstar
Manic*- "Chemical For Criminals" from the extended playing Floor Boards
The Channel- "Olden Days" from the album Tales From the Two Hill Heart
X-Wife- "X-Wife" from the album Side Effects
Beirut- "Postcards From Italy" from the album Gulag Orkestar
Margot and The Nuclear So and So's- "Skeleton Key" from the album The Dust of Retreat
The Wombats- "Moving To New York" from the album Backfire at the Disco
SPECIAL TREAT: Bright Eyes- "No One Would Riot For Less" from the upcoming album Cassadaga
*During the broadcast, I stated that Manic had turned down a record deal with Suretone Records (founded by ex-Geffen Records president Jordan Schur). I obtained this information from the biography on their SXSW profile. Apparently, this is incorrect as Suretone/Interscope is listed under "Record Label" on their myspace page. I only had the chance to read part of the biography on their SXSW page and failed to read on to find that they did sign with Suretone. My apologies.
