I've always felt that Twitter was essentially a website devoted to one aspect of Facebook: the status. This is why I haven't felt the need to follow the trend and get one myself seeing as I have a Facebook. I just got a Twitter account, but only because I thought it'd be good to have for promoting the blog. Also, liveblogging via Twitter seems to be much easier.
