MP3: Love Is All - "Kungen"
It's like The Momas & the Papas discovered indie rock and got all fuzzed out. The song starts out like a more weathered version of some '60s pop song and gradually starts to fray, with dissonant guitar riffs, pounding tom drums, and crashes of cymbals. It all leads into a frenetic break with a wild free jazz-styled saxophone and an all near freakout.
Gothenberg, Sweden's Love Is All recently joined the Polyvinyl family. "Kungen" is from their new album, Two Thousand and Ten Injuries, out March 23rd. Preorder it here from Polyvinyl on 180-gram vinyl or on CD.
