Lissy Trullie - "Madeleine"
A lullaby of a tune, swaddled in a soothing pool of shoegaze atmospherics, hiss, and white noise. It's dreamy and rather seductive with its wistful air and Trullie's rich, sultry voice. She exudes confidence, but also comes off as somewhat shy, which only builds intrigue. Quietly gorgeous, warm, and soulful.
"Madeleine" is from Lissy Trullie's self-titled debut LP, out March 2012 via Downtown Records. The album was produced by John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A., Shakira) and David Sitek (TV On the Radios, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars). You can pick up her 2009 debut EP, Self-Taught Learner, on American Myth here.
