LISTEN: Dapuntobeat
By
Quinn S.
It's hard to overlook the wealth of great dance music that's been coming out of Latin America the past few years, and Dapuntobeat is no exception. This electro/disco/funk jam feels like that rush of adrenaline that flows through you when you lock eyes with someone at a bar -- or better yet a dance floor.
This Mexico City sextet has nearly a decade of groove making to their name, so they're practically doctors when it comes to getting that body shaking.
KCRW is currently offering the band's "“Dospuntocero” for free download.

And their song that first caught my attention.
"Ruido Es El Sonido" and "Necesito Cambiar" are both from the band's latest album, I/O. Out now on Nacional Records. Pick it up here.
