LISTEN: Appetite - "Warn Me, Right"
It sounds a bit like Animal Collective but without the druggy tension -- that is, the aura of psychedelia -- as well as the reliance on electronic instrumentation. "Warn Me, Right" is a relaxing cut of tropicalia-esque pop, with marimba and even a section of toy pianos. It's hard not to think of the beach and the carefree spirit of summer as the song massages the worry out of your mind.
"Warn Me, Right" is from Appetite's new album, Scattered Smothered Covered, out now on Crossbill Records.
