WATCH: M83 - "Midnight City" (Live on 'Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon')

Ok. Did you watch Jimmy Fallon last night? If you didn't, you missed two things of note: 1) The Roots played Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass Bitch" for Michele Bachmann's walk-on song (!) and 2) M83 absolutely nailed their performance of "Midnight City," from their latest release, the double-album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. For starters, "Midnight City" is one of the year's best tracks, so it made the performance all the more enjoyable. Watch Anthony Gonzalez and co. work some magic below. Just wait for the non-ironic, jazzy sax solo -- it really seals the deal.

Junip (feat. Jose Gonzalez) Release Single, Announce Fall Tour

It's been nearly three years since the release of In Our Nature, the wonderful record by Swedish indie folkster Jose Gonzalez. Fans of Gonzalez should get excited, not for a new solo record, but rather a (new) band called Junip.

Gonzalez teamed up with drummer Elias Araya and organ and moog player Tobias Winterkorn to form Junip in the late '90s. Since then, the band has released a few singles and EPs in between Gonzalez's global treks with his solo work. And now, the band is finally releasing their debut LP entitled Fields via Mute/City Slang. The album was recorded and produced by Don Ahlsterberg and Junip, and features 11 tracks.
