VIDEO: Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - SALVO! Part II, "Kisses Over Babylon"

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros prove to be quite ambitious with their most recent project entitled SALVO!, a 12-part feature-length music video. A number of month ago, the band released the first installment entitled "Desert Song" and, today, Spinner has an exclusive look at the second installment: "Kisses Over Babylon."

In "Desert Song," frontman Alex Ebert's character faces his father in a desert wasteland where he ends up killing him. A tree of some sort sprouts up nearby that contains an interesting looking fruit. Ebert bites into it and begins to hallucinate, eventually finding himself back, alone, in the desert.

Part II sees Ebert arrested for the murder of his father. He is sent to slave away at a water labor prison where he reunites with his brother. Ebert rallies the other prisoners and...you know, you should really just watch it and stop reading my attempt to summarize it.

Forget Trapped In the Closet, the mise-en-scene of SALVO! is incredibly well done and completely captivating, redefining what it means to make a music video into a movie. If one was looking for a definition of cinematic, here it is. I could keep writing about what you're going to see, but it's better just to watch it for yourself.

You can watch the first two installments of SALVO! below (via Spinner).
