The Extremities Releasing New Album + Tour

Canadian's eclectic hip hop duo The Extremities (aka Toronto producer Fresh Kils on sampler/keyboards and Halifax’s Uncle Fester on turntables) is set to release a new album, The Mint Condition, on September 14th. Hear the first single, "Lost Souls," below, which was actually released back in November of 2009 as part of what was supposed to be an EP. The song features Tim Crofts on keys and Anthony Rinaldi on sax. "Lost Souls" is characterized by manipulated soul vocals, a hip hop beat, hot jazz sax, perfectly timed and placed scratches, and an undercurrent of organ dancing along beneath it all. It's refreshing, upbeat, and downright cool.
