Show 2.4: "60s Garage Rock"

As far as I know, all of the music was taken from 45 rpm vinyl records. A number of the bands only released one record and most of, if not all, of these bands/songs have been forgotten and overlooked.

Some of the songs are covers, but they are all prime examples of what garage rock is all about.

The Loved Ones- "Surprise, Surprise (For You)"
The Romancers- "Love's the Thing"
Jelly Bean Bandits- "Generation"
The Swamp Rats- "It's Not Easy"
The Gentleman Wild- "You Gotta Leave"
The Jagged Edge- "Midnight To Six Man"
The French Church- "Slapneck 1943"
The Spats- "She Done Moved"
Flower Power- "Stop! Check It!"
The Outcasts- "1523 Blair"
The Bush- "Feeling Sad and Lonely"
The Rock Shop- "State of Your Mind"
The Raves- "Mother Nature"
The Things- "Jazz-Rock With Soul"
The Last Word- "Sleepy Hollow
Little John and The Monks- "Black Winds"
The Bourbons- "Of Old Approximately - A Time For a Change"

Aired: 10/3/07
