VIDEO: The Low Anthem - "Charlie Darwin"

Rhode Island trio The Low Anthem debuted their new video for "Charlie Darwin" yesterday. It's made with stop-motion and has to be one of the most chilling videos I've ever seen. The pairing of the video and song create a great deal of depth and intensity. At one point or another, I swore that this was all reality and not a product of some fancy video work. Simon Taffe and Glenn Taunton of End of the Road Films truly capture the story and emotion found in the lyrics and music of "Charlie Darwin." The doll in the video is much more captivating and effective an actor in much the same way the dolls are in Todd Haynes' classic and controversial 1987 short film Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story.
