LISTEN: The Black Keys' New LP Brothers

Ah, yeah! You can now listen to The Black Keys' new album, Brothers, over at NPR before it hits the streets next week. So far, it's sounding like the Keys' most focused and textually diverse album. Who knew that between Carney playing in Drummer, Auerbach touring behind his debut solo album, and both dudes working on Blakroc that they even had time to make another Black Keys album after releasing and touring behind Attack & Release -- let alone an album so soulful and terrific. It's heavy on the r & b with that one of a kind Auerbach/Carney groove. This is also probably the band's funkiest effort to date, as well. Plus, Auerbach exercises his falsetto quite a bit -- and it's sweet.

Brothers will be up for listening until its release on May 18th.
