It's safe to say that the found footage that was used to craft this music video was not filmed specifically for "Put Your Blue Dress On," but, as you'll see, it matches up quite well. Then again, We Can't Enjoy Ourselves possess a classic edge to their sound that recalls the upbeat swing and sharp cut rock 'n' roll of decades past. So, it only seems fitting that this song and old footage suit one another in just the right ways. The piece was directed and edited by Will McCord.

The thing that's great about this band -- which seems to really be the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Giovanni Saldarriaga -- is that they're consistent with their output. Vocally, Saldarriaga sounds like a cross between Alec Ounsworth, Dan Bejar, David Byrne, and Morrissey -- sometimes more so one than the others. In the case of "Stop Moving," Saldarriaga takes the mope and wit of Morrissey and buoys it with surf rock-style guitar and the pep of indie pop. It's serious without the weight.
