LISTEN: Stripmall Architecture on LCD Soundsystem

Thanks for stopping by, San Francisco.

Stripmall Architecture, project of Ryan and Rebecca Coseboom, are helping me convince myself that I love covers. Do I? We shall see. No but really:

In anticipation and support of the fan-funded (according to press materials) Feathersongs for Factory Girls (Part One), this dance-rock outfit brings us a rather timely cover of a record that is sure to top "Best Of" lists come next November. This is Happening is already one of the most talked about albums of the year. So cheers to SMA who bring us a timely and fun cover of LCD Soundsystem's "Drunk Girls".

Hit the jump for the original song, and maybe even a super-secret-fun BONUS, because we love you so.

Go ahead and whet your whistle on the new Stripmall Architecture album, right here, right now (whatup Fatboy Slim!). Keep in mind this is Part One, so keep your eyes on us for Part Two coverage. What makes SMA even cooler? The funding for this adventure was gathered through Kickstarter. And just in case you want to, hit up the "buy" link on our fancy-shmancy SoundCloud player. (Sorry, I'm just proud I figured it out.)
