What Do Tiga, Peaches, & Chilly Gonzales Have In Common? Wait, Chilly Who?

They're all in the video for "Bittersuite" from Chilly Gonzales' feature film, Ivory Tower. To rewind a bit just in case you aren't familiar with him, Chilly Gonzales, or Jason Charles Beck, is a man of many talents: singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, actor, and screenwriter. He's released quite a few albums and has quite a back catalog. He's crossed more genres and been more ambitious than most musicians will ever hope to be. Check out the "Bittersuite" video below.

I found the video rather intriguing for how it played out. Granted it's a selection of scenes from the Ivory Tower movie, but it still was interesting to watch -- that Peaches sure has a cool violin.

I must confess that the "Bittersuite" video was my introduction to Chilly Gonzales. I wasn't all that familiar with his work until I saw it. So, I decided to check out some more of his work on YouTube. I feel as though Gonzales doesn't take himself too seriously, in the sense that he's not serious to the point of being so heavy-hearted that he can't have fun with what he's doing. For example, I came across the video below in which he calls himself a "musical genius." Initially, one might scoff at such a statement, but then you see him play and you attempt to grasp what this man is capable of. So, when he says he's Chilly Gonzales the "musical genius," it seems almost sarcastic -- except it's true.

Ok, ok. So we know the man can compose and play the piano pretty well, but as I mentioned before, Gonzales is also a rapper. You might be familiar with his rap music already and not even know it. How's that? The Apple iPad!

I know, there's no rapping anywhere to be found up there. That's because you have to hear the rest of the song. Enjoy.
