WATCH: Sleigh Bells Share New Album Teaser Video
By
Quinn S.
Sleigh Bells fuzzed-out noise pop proved rather popular in 2010 with the release of the band's debut LP, Treats. For a sound so heavily rooted in a particular aesthetic, I was curious to see where they'd go next. The duo of Derek E. Miller and Alexis Krauss just shared a video teasing us with a sneak peek at their new album, due early next year. The sophomore effort will be entitled Reign of Terror. Check out the teaser video below.

Yeah, The Roots' New Album Is Going to Be One of the Year's Best
By
Quinn S.
If there was any doubt that The Roots' new album, undun, was going to be one of year's best albums, then just watch this video. It's a clip of new song "Tip the Scale," and it's, well, absolutely amazing. This clip, along with teaser clips for "Make My" and "Stomp", have been out for a bit now, but I really wanted to call "Tip the Scale" to your attention in case you haven't seen it, or rather heard it, yet.
Not much else to add on my end except undun is out December 6th via Def Jam. Get ready.

SEE: Cake unveils teaser for new single "Long Time"
By
Simon P.
Right. At this point it's pretty clear that I'm big Cake fan. Showroom of Compassion, which the band self-released January 11, seems to have garnered a pretty serious buzz for the decade-old establishment-hating boys from Sacramento. That said:
In an interesting turn of events, Cake has moved on from self-produced videos and turned to Callicore Films, of Paris, for an animated take on single "Long Time". The single has everything from the signature trumpet lines backed by ho's and hey's, to lovelorn lyrics and straight and snappy drum lines. One thing is for sure, Cake are on their own mission, and nothing is going to stop them from going in a direction that most of us can't see coming.
Check out the teaser for the video "Long Time" and ponder, along with the rest of us, what the heck the band was thinking...after the hop of course.
