You'd never expect it. It introduces itself like a simple little rocker, but, suddenly...BAM. Then you're in the thick of it. You're surrounded on all sides. It's both serene and hectic. What starts off on the ground ends up in the skies above. What was once personal is now universal. You never can tell, you never can tell.
The Joy Formidable are a Welsh trio signed to Black Bell, the label of Passion Pit's Ayad Al Adhamy. On May 4th, the band will release the 8-song EP A Balloon Called Moaning via Black Bell. The effort was entirely self-produced and was recorded in the band's home studio.
The Joy Formidable will be in North America for a few dates, as well.
