Astro Raw - "Army of Darkness"
This is a fun listen! Astro Raw is from New York City. They make an amalgamation of indie rock and bumping beats centered around sped-up soul samples. They're led by singer and guitarist Lucas Goodman, whose voice sounds a little bit like Yoni Wolf and a little bit like Tim Armstrong. Goodman's somewhat-lazy drawl complements the carefree nature of their songs superbly. Some of the more upbeat jams like single "LoHi" are perfectly suitable for summer hangouts in cars with the windows down and the volume up.
