WHAT'S YOUR MUSE? Daniel Balk of The Postelles

It's the first of the month, and that means it's time for another edition of "What's Your Muse?"

The concept is simple: We ask a band/artist to choose a song that means a lot/the most to them. Then, they record and send us a video of themselves describing why they chose the song. Think of it like a collaborative video mixtape project.

In this edition, we hear from Postelles frontman Daniel Balk.

The Postelles are an up-and-coming garage pop rock band from New York. They've been featured on the site a few times, so we're all pretty well acquainted with them now. Based on their '50s/'60s-leaning sound, Balk's choice isn't all that surprising. Balk and the band were making the long drive back after a long weekend at this year's Bonnaroo when he taped his submission. Being cooped up in a van for hours at a time, the road seems endless. From the middle of nowhere, Balk delivers his choice. View his submission after the jump.

The Postelles' self-titled debut LP is out October 12th through Capitol/Astralwerks.
