MP3: Sea of Bees - "Wizbot"
Sea of Bees mastermind Jules (that's what everyone calls her) takes the delicate nature of folk and presents it in a shy but confident manner thanks to its undertone of rock. Every word she sings sounds heartbreakingly personal, as if you're the subject of her words. "Wizbot" is a relatively straightforward song, but with Jules' emotive delivery and almost angelic voice, it's easy to be utterly captivated by each syllable, by each note strummed on her bright acoustic guitar. It's one of those rare songs that makes heartache and sorrow sound like such beautiful things.
Check out the video for "Wizbot" below which features a room full of Jules (what's the plural of that...Juli? Juleses?) performing the song.
