It's been four years since the release of Explosions In the Sky's last album, 2007's All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone. Upon the release of that album, the band garnered quite a bit of attention and critical praise, more than they ever had before. It seemed like they were one of the first, if not the first, post-rock/all instrumental band to hit what was an almost mainstream level -- at least here in the U.S. And now, the band is set to return with their sixth studio album entitled Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. Needless to say, this new album is kind of highly-anticipated.
Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is scheduled for release on April 18 in the UK, April 25 in Europe, and April 26 on Temporary Residence Ltd. in the U.S. Fortunately, you won't have to wait that long to score some music from the new album. Stream and then download album track "Trembling Hands" below. It's one of the most aggressive, fast-paced EITS songs I've heard in a while.

Housed (literally, it's a house) in a 10-panel quadruple gatefold cardboard jacket, with an enormous 18-panel full-color double-sided poster, and a full-color double-sided postcard - then all of that is tucked neatly inside of a full-color double-sided slipcase! The CD and vinyl versions are packaged identically, only differing in size. Both CD and vinyl come in THREE different artwork variants - the interiors of artwork are different colors.
