The Postelles Debut LP Finally Coming Out, See New Music Video & Download Song

The Postelles completed their debut album quite some time ago and were set to release it on Capitol Records way back in 2010. Then, the label pushed the release back...and then back again...and then things seemed rather up in the air. Just as the band was about to headline a sold out Bowery Ballroom show to celebrate their album's release, the label dropped them. It seemed as though their debut would get permanently lost in the shuffle.

Luckily, Plus One Music/+1 Records (responsible for bringing us The Morning Benders and The Heavy, among others) stepped up to release the eponymous debut, co-produced by the band and The Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr. The album has been remastered, and the band also recorded new song "Sound the Alarms" for the release. So, it looks like it's finally happening for The Postelles, a band that has toured and performed internationally with the likes of Free Energy, Interpol, Kings of Leon, and even Chuck Berry. The Postelles self-titled will finally be released on June 7th.

But that's not all. This week must be an especially great week for the band with a release date finally set and a new Tracy Antonopoulos-directed music video for album track "Sleep On the Dance Floor". Aesthetically, the video falls in line with the band's love of mid-'50s to early '60s style. And if you were wondering what Jemina Pearl was up to, then look no further. The album tracklist and the video/MP3 of "Sleep On the Dance Floor" are available after the hop, as well as a stream of some other tracks off the album.
