LISTEN: Architecture in Helsinki release single "Contact High"

It's been four years since this pop quintet from down under has released a new record, and for those of us who miss their playful, bouncy, and eclectic style, it's been too long. Also, Passion Pit and Chromeo fans, eat your heart out (deja vu, anyone?).

Architecture in Helsinki is gearing up to release their fourth studio album Moment Bends (May 3 via Downtown Records in the USA). "Contact High", with no shortage of loopy, bending guitar and key board leads, is here to whet your dancing whistle before the band takes off on an 18-day US tour in June.

"Contact High", while certainly recognizable as an Architecture track, seems to be hopping on the dance-pop train in a way which their previous records have managed to avoid. Where odd and ghostly vocals made for weird, yet creative intros and backgrounds on previous outings, the single is basically just well-made kettle corn: sweet, crispy, and satisfying.

I'll always be partial to the "It's 5" days, but if you haven't gotten a chance to see Architecture do their high energy live performance, get one of the dates after the hop on your your calendar. Also, you can swing over to PF4K for the download.
