Twin Sister – “Bad Street”
True story...
As I sit typing this, a terrible thunderstorm is rolling through. The sky was a light blue, fading to black at dusk, but this storm swallowed the sky whole. The remaining daylight was digested by this thick darkness; it prematurely became the dead of night. Lightning tries illuminating the sky, but it only comes off like a boy directing his flashlight into a pitch-black sky. Gazing out the window, it looks like the blurred vision of a Monet painting.
Witnessing such an intense, ominous storm as this, I would typically find myself rather humbled and silenced by the great force ruling outside. This would be the case, but I’ve cut myself off and made my own light. With headphones on, I feel nothing but the bright warmth and spirited groove of Twin Sister’s “Bad Street.” At this point, there is no power in my home, but it all means nothing. It would be dark and quiet now, but Twin Sister is here. It is just like switching on a light.
Twin Sister does pop with organic production, not overly polished electronic instrumentation. It makes the music all the more charming.

Rolling off of two excellent EPs and great to see live, I can't wait for the release--love Bad Street, epecially the groove and funky ending--Beep! Beep!
